Area nursing schools offer a variety of RN to BSN options for nurses interested in a bachelor’s degree.

Nursing students throughout Missouri traveled to Jefferson City to learn how to advocate as individuals and nursing professionals.

The Missouri Nurses Association had its 24th Annual Missouri Nurse Advocacy Day Feb. 24 in Jefferson City.

The Bi-State Nursing Workforce Innovation Center provided grants for Clinical Scene Investigators projects, referred to as CSI projects.

As people find themselves struggling financially, the elderly become easy prey for not only seasoned criminals but trusted family members as well.

“It’s a lot like domestic violence: It’s a dirty little secret in a lot of families,” Johnson County District Attorney Steve Howe said. “One of the things that national studies have said is that elderly abuse is probably as great if not greater than domestic violence as far as not being reported.”

alt altKansas City resident Hilary Trumble celebrated women’s heart health during the University of Kansas Hospital’s annual Girls’ Night In event Feb. 23 at the Hyatt Regency Crown Center.

“This is fabulous,” Trumble said. “There is such a level of excitement here.”
