Village Shalom, a nursing home in Overland Park, received the PEAK award for the third year in a row. The Kansas Department on Aging gives the Promoting Excellent Alternatives in Kansas Nursing Homes Award, referred to as PEAK. The award promotes “non-traditional” senior living advancements.
Matthew Lewis, the chief executive officer and president of Village Shalom, said the facility has continued to rise to the challenge. He commended the staff and their commitment as a major factor in their third win. Kansas Department on Aging Secretary Martin Kennedy presented the award, which included a $300 check.
