Brain Saver nominations open

The American Stroke Association will take nominations for its 2009 Brain Saver Award through Oct. 2.

The award recognizes those who take action when they see the warning signs of a stroke and provide fast response to help prevent brain damage. The association will provide two awards. One will go to an emergency responder and the other will go to a community member.
