Golf tournament scheduled

Solace House and Kansas City Hospice & Palliative Care will hold a benefit golf tournament on Monday, Oct. 5.

The “On the Upswing” golf tournament will feature an 18-hole scramble, a silent auction, contests and prizes. Proceeds will go to Solace House, Kansas City’s only grief resource center for children and their families.

The tournament will be held at the Meadowbrook Golf and Country Club, 9101 Nall Ave., Prairie Village, Kan. Registration begins at 9 a.m. with a tee time of 10:30 a.m.

Lunch will be provided at the event, which costs $200 per golfer.
